Go ahead.  Pursue your dreams, crave success and money.  Work your way to the top of your company.  Win the attention of others.  Be rich and famous.  Be selfish.

And I can promise you this: you’ll still feel empty.  You’ll still want more.  You’ll wonder why you don’t feel content.  You’ll wonder why you’re still not happy.

But here’s a greater promise: Jesus fulfills.  He’ll never leave you wanting.  You’ll be content in Him.  He’ll bring you joy and peace that passes understanding.

I saw a quote from John Piper during Passion 2010 that really resounded with me:

“You were not created to BE somebody, you were created to KNOW somebody.”

God promises that He will be found by us when we seek Him with our whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13).  So seek Him, find Him, know Him.  There will be no greater joy than this.

And then go pursue His dreams for you.  Serve Him.  Glorify Him.  Love Him.
